Abstract:
The study aimed to reveal the most important recent trends in digital learning systems research, and future visions for the possibility of using digital education systems in teaching media courses and benefiting from them to achieve the desired educational goals of digital learning systems and their effectiveness in media education, and to identify the most important issues, topics and research ideas and the most important theoretical and methodological frameworks in those studies.
The study comes within the descriptive analytical studies and depends on the qualitative analysis method of the second level, which is based on describing and analyzing the most important recent scientific research in digital learning systems in general and media learning in particular - within the limits of the researcher - in the period from 2010-2020, and the study was conducted on 81, 46 researches were Arab, representing 57% of the total research sample of the study, and 35 foreign, 43%.
Important results: Varity of topics and research problems in digital learning systems research, and the interest of academics in developing digital learning systems. It is also clear that the focus of the American and Western society's view on the attitudes of students and faculty members towards learning systems and their applications and the possibility of activating them in educational institutions. Whereas, Arabic studies examines the immediate application of digital learning systems and measures their effectiveness. Scientific studies have monitored the interest of researchers and academics in the media specialization decades ago on the uses of digital learning systems in media learning, which was represented in the design of electronic courses, the design of educational websites on the internet, and the use of distance learning to teach journalism and media courses. Effectiveness in the media field accumulate from multiple technological innovations, especially with regard to mobile learning, blended e learning and distance learning.
Digital educational technologies have contributed to increasing educational quality and follow-up courses through e-learning models and digital media, which has significantly increased students’ knowledge and skills and has statistically significant effects, whether in general or university learning and media studies.
Recommendations: attention to studies and research measuring the trends of students and faculty members about modern digital learning systems and the effectiveness of their application in media disciplines.
